"Save Me, San Francisco"

I hear the words, "San Francisco" and this song immediately plays in my head. Thanks, Train.

What a beautiful and iconic city! I had the pleasure of traveling there for work this week (business trip!) Unfortunately, I did not get to see any of it outside of a 3 block radius in Union Square. And I didn't actually see Union Square, it just happens to share its name with the district of our hotel and convention center.

To summarize an action-packed 48 hours: I worked a ton, slept a little, and ultimately interviewed 13 AWS customers for a research report my team will put together next week. Our event was on Wednesday, so Tuesday afternoon was designated for preparation and we flew back Thursday morning. And then I went to the office. The definition of all work, no play.

In conclusion, yes, I can now say I have been to California. Have I been to the Golden Gate Bridge? No. Did I ride (or see...?) the trolley? No. But I have gotten enough information to know that I want to go back because it seems like an amazing town.

To prove that I did actually go, here is the view from the top floor of my hotel:

And the dinner I had Tuesday night at E&O Asian Kitchen:

And those are all the pictures I have. Sorry! Hopefully I'll go back at some point in the next three months and see the real San Francisco, outside of the convention center. Until then, I'm just going to watch the Train video and see the sights through their eyes.
